Lee Wai Sze and Li Yin Yin ranked 11th in Women's Team Sprint


Hong Kong Track Cycling World Cup raised its curtain today (January 25) at Hong Kong Velodrome, of the four gold medals on the opening day, Italy triumphed in both Men’s and Women’s Team Pursuit, while Australia and China claimed the gold medals in Men’s and Women’s Team Sprint respectively. Hong Kong’s Sarah Lee Wai Sze and Li Yin Yin ranked 11th in Women’s Team Sprint.



Hong Kong shuffled its pregame plans today, with Sarah Lee Wai Sze partnering Li Yin Yin in the Women’s Team Sprint, and the duo clocked a time of 34.228 seconds to rank 11th among 18 participating teams. As for China’s pair Zhong Tianshi and Lin Junhong, having won the gold medals at the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia last year, the duo outperformed their opponents from the qualifying stage, and defeated Ukraine in the final to take home the gold medal, while Lithuania outclassed Germany to win the bronze medal.
